Alex & Eli

I was so excited to get an email today from Anna and Anja, the amazing designers behind Alex & Eli. They wanted to let me know that Natasha Bedingfield wore the shark fin dress I ordered from their Spring 2011 collection on the today show!

susanna lau aka susie bubble wears alex & eli
so does kim k.

i've never cared much for natasha bedingfield, but now that i know she has amazing taste i'll be reconsidering my feeling for her. Alex & Eli arrives in the shop in spring, until then sit tight and watch natasha's today show performance.

STONE FOX

It's hard to think about fall in this 85 degree California weather, but fall shipments are starting to arrive and we are so damn excited! I'm especially looking forward to these **FAUX** fox tail clips. PLEASE remember that these are NOT real fur. I am a huge animal lover and would not be able to sleep at night like Marc Jacobs over at Louis Vuitton....does anyone know the verdict on whether or not their fox tails are real?

Vanessa looking beautiful modeling the fox tail as well as her la dama beaded rosary.

Also, a Lillian crowe re-stock as well as two new designs, one being this Spearhead ring.

photo credits: lillian crowe and of course my girl Vanessa

All this and more will be up in the shop tomorrow and stay tuned because in the next couple of weeks we are going to start getting more fall shipments...i want to say who, but I'd rather have you sweat it out just a bit longer.

Caitlin Mociun is the shit

She makes some of the most whimsical clothing I have ever seen and has a slight fear of coyotes. Catilin Mociun is fucken awesome. She's inspired by everything around her...veggies in her fridge, the Natural History Museum and her travels through Asia and Europe that she did from the ages of 12-18. Mociun's clothing line(pronounced like motion) was born in her one bedroom apartment in Brooklyn NY. Look below to see Caitlin transform an ordinary white dress into the coolest dress ever, using potatoes...yeah, potatoes. I told you she was the shit.

TEAMO Spring 2010

TEAMO Spring 2010 collection is finally here! I love every piece so much that I can't pick a favorite. I'm loving the fact that the whole collection is black for Spring, not everyone wants to be wearing florals right now including myself. OK, so there is one that I kind of favor...the Mexica Prince shirt.

Playground Love

Aaron Ruff from Digby & Iona makes the most beautiful jewelry. His imagination takes us to the most fun and unexpected places. Right now thanks to the Stump ring, I've been having some serious school crush nostalgia memories. Since the time I discovered boys at one time or another I always scribbled my name and my crushes name together. I carved my love in notebooks, desks and of course trees. This behavior carries on into adulthood because I have yet to enter a restroom in a bar that isn't covered in declarations of love.
Let La Dama carve your love here. Remember it doesnt have to be your significant other, this also makes the perfect BFF ring or just leave the heart blank until you meet someone worthy.
this version highlights the contrast between the bark and the detail of the rings with sterling and brass.
This version is minus heart, but not minus awesome.

I want this to be my cake for my 30th birthday in May
